Nursing Services

Nursing staff provide foot care, dressing changes, IV infusions, injections, immunizations, blood transfusions and client education, screening and assessment. With the exception of foot care and flu vaccinations, all procedures require a physician/healthcare provider referrals

Foot Care

A Nurse will perform a foot health assessment to determine your ability to care for your own nails. Medical foot care appointments are $30 for members, $35 for non-members and no charge for diabetic patients. Clients requiring this service can self-refer.

Day Surgery and Endoscopy Procedures

We provide surgical space for our physicians as well as visiting specialists and surgeons who perform endoscopy and other minor surgery procedures; nursing staff assist with surgical procedures. All procedures require a physician order/referral and a scheduled appointment

Laboratory

Our laboratory is a provincially accredited, regulated lab that performs routine testing and collects samples for both routine and specialty tests.  All laboratory tests require a physician’s order and a pre-booked appointment.

Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic testing available at the health centre includes laboratory testing, ECGs, 24 Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, holter monitors and Ankle Brachial Index (ABI’s) monitoring. All of these services require a physician order/referral and a pre-booked appointment

Pain Clinic

Our Pain Medicine Specialists (Dr. Lanoie and Dr. Kolawole) provide treatment and education to clients with chronic pain, perform pain-reducing procedures and prescribe pain medications. Services are available through physician referral only.

Our Physiotherapists treat clients with various acute and chronic conditions.  Priority service is given to clients who do not have health insurance.  Services are available through self-referrals or physician/healthcare provider referrals

Nutrition Services

Our Registered Dietitian provides nutrition counselling and support to all ages, families, caregivers and couples.  Services are available through self-referrals or physician/healthcare provider referrals

Mental Health Services

Our Mental Health Therapist provides counselling to clients that are 18 years of age or older who are seeking support regarding stress/coping, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and work/life balance. Services are available through self-referrals or physician/healthcare provider referrals

Health Promotion

The Health Promotion Program provides activities that promote health and wellness through education, programs, groups, community partnerships, community outreach and workplace wellness initiatives.  Our goals and objectives include empowering people of all ages to improve their health and overall quality of life and to promote healthy living.  Activities, including our monthly wellness education for Seniors 60+, are promoted through our website, print media and on our social media platforms.

Recovery Program

The program is led by Methadone and Suboxone Prescribing Physicians that treat clients who have an opiate addiction. Our Methadone Case Coordinators provide ongoing support and counseling to clients. Services are available through self-referrals or physician/healthcare provider referrals

Co-operative Health Centre Transportation Shuttle

Transportation

The health centre has a shuttle service that will transport ambulatory clients to and from appointments at the Health Centre if transportation is a barrier.
A membership is required to use this service.
